Robert M. Ryan
Most businesses in the United States are closely held, predominantly by
families. All of these companies have specialized tax and advisory needs.
Mr. Ryan provides consulting and management advisory services to this specialized
group. This includes estate and income tax planning as well as succession
planning. Family businesses operate differently than others. He helps these
clients utilize their strengths.
He also has extensive experience in the construction industry, working with both
large and small scale developers. Mr. Ryan helps clients achieve their profitability
goals through his insight into the operations of construction firms.
An additional area of expertise is consulting with and accounting for not-for-profit
entities. This entails assistance with accounting questions, software consulting
and providing government compliance audits. He sits on the Board of Directors
of several non-profit organizations and devotes extensive time to learning the
operating requirements for this industry.
Mr. Ryan's career began with a regional accounting
firm where he worked with clients in a diverse range of industries, including
banking, construction and not-for-profit. He has practiced as a CPA in the
state of Washington since 1979.
